Faust (Goethe translated by Walter Kaufmann)

Very fun to read, it's been so long since I've read something in verse that I forgot how fun it can be. Mephistopheles is amazing; Goethe outdos himself within his voice. Sadly (or maybe not idk) in this translation Acts II-IV of Part 2 are abbreviated, so Goethe's rendering of antiquity is missing from my experience. I will read them in a different translation another time. Interesting to learn that Goethe was the progenitor of the Eternal Feminine in Faust. Stay woke.
