Has a weaker middle-latter section, that while still excellent, plods along lines already well-traced by our dear narrator, even with the introduction of the inflaming titular topic. This is made up for though by being bookended by some beautiful, intensely lyrical and moving passages that Proust does better than maybe anyone else.
